Lest We Forget

The Ukrainian Museum of Canada, Alberta Branch, on behalf of the Ukrainian Pioneers Association of Alberta, invites you to attend “Lest We Forget” — an event that commemorates the ultimate sacrifice made by 160 Ukrainian-Canadian young men from Alberta during the First and Second World Wars. In addition to a display of militaria worn and used by Ukrainian-Canadians during the wars, including a priest’s field kit to administer last rites, there will be an unveiling of a plaque recognizing these young men. General Wynnyk, who lost an uncle during WWII, and the senior military chaplain for Western Canada will be officiating.
